Forgotten Photos . . .

I took some pictures yesterday with my camera that I never use and was putting them on my computer this morning. While doing this I discovered some pictures that I had forgotten I'd taken. I got a good laugh from them and it made me think, I wonder what else I've forgotten this last year? Here are some of my favorites from the recently remembered photos :)

Hayden's Surgery . . .

Well I can breath.

Hayden had his surgery and so far so good. The surgery went really well. We showed up to the hospital bright and early at 5:30 am. The nurses asked some questions, Hayden changed into these adorable pjs and we waited for the doctors to come talk to us. He went into surgery around 7:00 and was out about 45 minutes later. We didn't get to see him for another 30 minutes, but the doctors came back and said that things went great and that the surgeries went well. He got tubes in both ears and had his adenoids removed, so hopefully his hearing will improve and he won't be sick so much. It wasn't the procedures that worried me so much as it was the anesthesia. For the adenoid removal they had to put him deeper to sleep and put a tube down his throat which terrified me. But in the end, everything went well and I was VERY happy to have my sweet boy back in my arms. I have to say, nothing has been harder then having to give him to the doctor before his surgery. I hope I never have to do that again.

A few days out from the surgery, things are going well. Hayd bounced back quickly and is back to himself. His doctor said that because he had his adenoids removed he might feel like he had a bad cold. He is congested, but acting fine. And I think his hearing is already better. We went outside the other day and walking into a store when he heard a semi go by and acted startled by the sound, like he had never heard it before and then did the same thing when he heard birds. The sad thing is, he may very well have never heard those sounds before. I'm so happy he can hear them now!

Fingers crossed that when we go back for a check up in a couple weeks things look good and there has been no permanent damage to his hearing!
