The end of my 20s . . .

That's right, I almost done with my 20s. Next year I will be celebrating the big 3 - 0. I can't believe I am 29. People were asking me this weekend if I feel old. I've never known what to say to this. How is an age supposed to feel? I feel the same.

I had a GREAT weekend though. On Sunday, I got to hang out with my family. The weather was beautiful, seriously perfect, so we spent most of the day outside.

We grilled and ate outside . . .
Cutest Cousins!
Hayden LOVES his cousins

We played outside and went and visited the geese and ducks . . .
Caravan of kids going to see the ducks

You could tell that the geese were used to people coming and feeding them, because they got REALLY close . . . a little too close :)

Best picture I could get. There was too much to do, no time for taking pictures :)
Climbing trees
Hayden really wanted to get in the lake. Hence why Shane is holding him :)

It was a really great day!

Visiting Friends and the Zoo . . .

A couple of weeks ago our good friends Scott and Melissa came for a quick visit. Hayden instantly fell in love with Scott and Melissa and was sad when they left. Even though they were only here for a couple days we had time to go to the Omaha Zoo. It's been ranked the #1 zoo in the world right now!

Crossing the rope bridge like a big boy with dad!

While walking through the jungle we ran into a lizard just walking on the trail. Of course my son with no fear went straight for it. I knew what would happen if he got his hands on it, so I held him back. He was NOT happy about that.
Look how big that thing was, do you blame me for not letting my son go up and grab it!
Checking out the monkeys with Scott . . .
. . . and Melissa.

You know it's been a good day when this is how we leave the zoo :)

Big Boy . . . New Trike

I can't believe how big and grown up Hayden is getting. We are SOOO happy it is summer and that we get to spend every minute of every day together. So to celebrate, Hayden got a new trike! It is great and he loves it!
Daddy trying to teach Hayden how to pedal . . . or at least keep his feet on the pedals :)

We are supposed to be able to push Hayden, but we should have known he would want to be in charge. He usually rides for a few minutes then wants to push :)
